The Imaginative Genius of Terry Pratchet (a book review)

If you haven’t delved into the imaginative world of Terry Pratchet take this blog post as a sign–it’s time. Especially if you’re a writer, Pratchet’s books might as well be an exposition on how to effortlessly dance between humor, absurdity, and profundity as a storyteller.

My adoration for Pratchet’s storytelling is so complete that I believe (and this is just a strong hunch) that even those who claim they don’t like fiction/fantasy would change their minds after spending page or two in the Discworld.

Mort will have you kicking your feet up with laughter one minute and sitting at the edge of your couch the next. Susan Sontag wrote that great art should leave you with a different impression of the world–a new perspective–and Mort does just that.
